If true, why? Is he broke or is driving just a way to keep busy? BTW He is known for his game winning TD catch against the Bengals in the Super Bowl, played from 1987 to 1995. A geat 2nd receiver to Jerry Rice and punt return guy,.

dont know how that is
It may be…. I know Icky Wodds delivers meat now.
I don’t know who he is but I find it very believable. William “Refrigerator” Perry from the Chicago Bears is doing construction.
These guys get a pass through life at an early age because they can play football. They are praised for tackling another man to the ground or catching a ball. When they get out of the NFL they basically handicapped in a normal society because they 30+ years old and have never worked besides the weight room and rewarded for doing pointless acts. Now with a good deal they are set for life but in prior years they weren’t paid as well.
If he’s broke he’s far from alone. The landscape is littered with former millionaires who are now driving forklifts and the like. Just because you’re rich doesn’t mean you’re smart.
Yes it is true. He lives a very private life in California. Some people call him the greatest number 2 reciever ever but not me.
In the 80’s NFL players did not make the millions that these guys make today. Not even close as a mater of fact. Many great players from the 70’s and 80’s have regular jobs just like us.
Say u make $500,000 in 1986 and buy a $100,000 house and have kids. Ur not exactly rich. The guys back then didn’t have it like the players do now.
Yes, he is a OTR (over the road trucker) from coast to coast.
Why? He loves it.

I wouldnt believe he is broke, but people have to understand, that even back in the 80’s the players werent making NEAR the money they are making today. Im sure he does it just for something to do. Steve Young has a law degree. Ed Hochilee the referee is an attorney on the side. RIcky Williams wants to be a Dr when he is done playing in the NFL
Why do we get some type of kick out of a guy who use to play in the NFL now driving Trucks for a living what is wrong with driving a truck .John Taylor has live a life most of us will never see does that make him better I don,t think so give the man a break at lest he is not out here robbing people
It’s true, he always had the passion to drive trucks. There is a book that explains all of the past 49er players and what they do now. There is a chapter on John Taylor, and in the end of the chapter, it explains how Taylor was at the 49ers Super Bowl Reunion in 2006 and when the show was over, Taylor got into his truck and drove to his destination.
