I like this guy already! Read the article…. Do you think he will be a great add to the D- line along with Merriman, Philips, Castillo, etc…?

The former third rounder could help an already-star studden defnse. He is not a linemen though, but could be converted. He’s a big guy at 6-2, 240. But he is pretty quick, and will help Castillo, Merriman, and Phillips, as well as the defense as a whole.
He’s not a star, but he’s a dynamic player that should help.
I am a long time 49er fan…..yes even when we been sucking, like now. But D. Smith was our leading tackler for a long, long time. He only lost his job cause we have Willis. He can get you 100 or more tackles in a season. The LB’s on the Chargers are all great, now they have one more great LB. With the D-line and the great LB’s and the good CB’s they can have a great defense like the Giants did this season. Watch out for them Chargers.
yea hes a good D-line. should bring more pressure added along to the young defense.
btw i like that new pic of yours. it looks cool.
i think ill change mine too… o wait i dont no how
Well from what I already know, he had been released like a week ago, and then had already signed on to be a charger.
I honestly think this is a huge move for the Chargers. Being a 49er fan like the guy above, Nolan had came into his pre-season and training camp as every position on the team was open. A guy like Smith stood no chance against the rookie Willis. Smith is a smart defender, and although not fast, he is extremely quick to the ball.
With Castillo and Williams ahead of Smith and the LB’s, this could really sure up their front 7. It lets Merriman and Phillips blitz the QB and Smith can play the QB spy, or the run stopper. It really frees up their LB core to make some huge plays.
Something as small as this could propel those Bolts into the championship game.
Good luck!!
The guy is a proven veteran who can play; just look at his stats. Yes, an injury set him aside at times, but the Niners do have P. Willis now. He’s the last of the Niner LB corp that’s been around, as San Francisco is moving towards a faster LB corp.
Honestly, I think he’ll definitely help the Chargers out, but it’s really going to have to come down to their D-Coordinator. The reason Merriman and the rest of the LBs weren’t as explosive early on last season was because they decided to blitz their secondary more than their LBs. So, with the LB in coverage, they got beat. If Smith starts, look for him to hold down the middle while their OLBs blitz (like they should - they can’t cover)
your new logo is cool
Thats freaken awesome.. i think the chargers will win it next year.. then.. hopefully.. someday..*Sniff Sniff* *Mysterious Light*… the dolphins… i just hope that rivers becomes more consistent.. and less turnovers.. that would be good.
